Studying marine science and technology at Curtin

The Centre for Marine Science and Technology (CMST) offers a range of study options:

  • Short courses for industry and the public.
  • Higher degrees by research – Masters and PhDs, full time or part time.
  • Undergraduate and postgraduate marine units for Curtin-enrolled students.

A range of scholarships are available for international and Australian students.

CMST is part of the Curtin Department of Imaging and Applied Physics and has close ties to Mechanical, Electrical and Computer Engineering, Spatial Sciences and Environmental Biology. CMST is a small dynamic centre, so we know all our students personally and take great pride in our graduates and their achievements.

CMST has established excellent links with both the local and international marine community. Curtin marine students have the opportunity to work on projects associated with professional scientists and engineers. Some projects may involve travel to remote locations and working with high-tech equipment.
